Larger Turbo for 1.9TDI BLS engine
Is there a standard OEM turbo that I could swap out with the BLS version that I can use to increase power. Of course I would need different map etc, but is there a direct replacement or would I need to have one hybrided

You can fit any turbo from a Mk4 golf if you also use the downpipe, a PD150 one will be the best choice for direct bolt on.

I am not sure if the BLS engine has the turbo mounted upside down compared to typical PD TDI engines though. I think I have seen this on a VW Caddy 105HP PD TDI....

Yes the turbo is mounted upside down on my caddy! Top mount so to speak! No DBF mind! Its a 104bhp. Is there not a replacement. If I change to PD150, I would need different downpipe, intake is on the other side, boost out goes down over gearbox not down around by crank pulley,

Nope, I took a look in our Caddy 1.9PD TDI with engine code BLS today, its upside down, well actually its only upside, without down
And yes, intake is on the other side, turbine outlet on the passengers side (Who would have thought that d'oh )
So swapping over to a pd 150 turbo would need some more work.
Also the injectors are quite small on this engine, so a turbo upgrade is only half the rent....
Regards, Alex
