2011 Jetta Recall

Just read this on CNN. Apparently honking the horn can cause a short circuit causing the engine to shut down. Bizarre! Guess there still are some electrical gremlins to work out.

wow this is the third post about the recall!

VW already came out with the solution. The new Jetta's will come standard with these from now on.

I never tried the horn until I heard about this recall today, well low and behold the horn doesn't even work but it doesn't stall the car either.

Either way got my appointment for tomorrow along with a whole list of things to fix/check. I really like driving the car but i'm really disappointed with the quality, havn't even had the car for 2 weeks yet and it already has to go in for service.

The ignition must be ON for the horn to work.

Ignition must also be on if the car is going to stall, but I think you knew that already. They kinda go hand in hand.
