Default And Who Said Diesel Technology was Dead?

I don't know if this is old news but thought it was interesting to see Volvo developing a diesel/electric/plug-in hybrid. It looks like they might have scooped VW, Mercedes and BMW by developing a practical and perhaps economical car depending on what it cost. Well have to waite and see if we really get it in the US/Canada.
