This is a month by month competition. Every time you make an entry it will be added up and recorded together according to the fuel type and car/year you are driving.
THIS IS NOT an individual tank competition (or a partial tank competition for that matter).

Entries will be accepted until Jan 5th 2010, but remember, report tanks FILLED IN DECEMBER.

Entry Format:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Driver:
Miles:
Gallons:
Model Year:
Model:
Tranny:
Fuel Type:

You are allowed to put more than one fill up in a post, so long as each fill up conforms to format.

MPG: (optional since I will calculate it automatically anyway)
Odometer: (optional)
(anything else you would like to add)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Hint on entering your data - after the colon ( ":") put a space.

US GALLONS AND MILES

TRANNY TYPES:
(x)A = x speed automatic
(x)M = x speed manual *
DSG = direct-shift gearbox
CVT = continuously variable transmission
* if you have swapped in a taller 5th gear please noted this (ie: 5M w/.681)

FUEL TYPES:
Bx = biodiesel - x is the percentage of bio
Biodiesel use equal to, or more than B20, will be indicated in GREEN.
ULSD / LSD / D2 = normal petroleum based diesel
Also please note if it's winterized

- please note if you are using a fuel additive (ie: ULSD +PS)
- - Power Service (PS); Stanadyne (ST); Redline (RL)

Posts not in format will not be tallied / corrected. If I have to do any editing to get your post in format (or to get the correct name), it will not be counted. Feel free to correct your own posts to get them in format.

Please do not go back and add additional fillups to a post. Multiple fillups per post is fine as long as all fillups are in format. If the driver name is not the same as your post name - this will be considered "Not in format" and will not be counted. Only exceptions would be "and spouse" etc.

Year To Date Mileage Report <--- This is a beta report. I know there are some errors.

Pretty junky tank, but I just got new tires, and I think the cold weather setting in has cost me a little. Next tank will start using Redline.

Winter fuel and temps are here along with craptastic mileage! Let's see how much more it goes down when i install the snow tires.

I am not sure why it isn't lower, as winter is upon us. (wuss winter to some of you) Cali "SUFFERS" :p from global warming. The car remains in (almost) perpetual break in mode. (up and down revs). I did adjust the TP (tire pressure) to 44 psi. I think I did let it "leak" to 39/40 psi. (after the 10k dealer service and thank heavens correct oil (Castrol "GOLD" bottle VW507.00 for the oil change @ 12,000 miles)). Despite a host of misgivings, I actually had a pleasant visit to the local dealer.

First 1100 mile tank! At about 700mi, I ran a can of diesel purge through the car (straight in as suggested on tdiparts). I didn't use PS since I ran out (grey) which may account for the mileage difference.

First time under 40 MPG in about 18 months or more, due to a new turbo (17/22) with the old tune for a stock turbo. Combine this with very aggressive runs to practice take off for Drag day at MIR on 11-29-09

Still had the old tune with new hardware until only about 1/3rd of a tank left. Road trip to Reading, PA via Red Lion, PA to get a tune to match the new hardware. :D Hard highway driving most 80+ MPH, also plenty of short trips and stop and go commuting on this one.
