Default Feeler: Downpipe ALH/PD 2.5” Stainless Steel with or without CAT delete!

TDI ALH and PD 2.5” Stainless Steel Downpipes with or without CAT

I have been currently work with a local shop in Brampton and have started getting some prices together about 2.5" downpipes similar to Passenger Performance but with better 3ry warranty and better price including the installation of them. This downpipe can be use with both the ALH and the PD motor; the flange is ½” 309 stainless steel CNC cut to allow the best flow possible from the 2” stock exhaust gasket to the 2.5” stainless pipe. The rest of the piping is 309 stainless with a stainless flex section, and the back section which will eliminates your CAT. If you still want to have the CAT, it can be added to the cost of the downpipe. Just a reminder this is post is to find out if there is enough interest in these so we can proceed with pre-orders. The downpipe will have a 3yr manufacture defect, and will be repaired or replaced if not repairable.

Spec’s: 309 Stainless Steel ½” CNC cut flange
2.5” dia. 309 Stainless Steel Tig weld piping
2.5” dia Stainless Steel Flex
O2 sensor bung for the PD motor (just leave the bolt in the bung for the ALH, which do not require this)
Price includes installation and materials to complete the installation

Prices will start at: Min order of 10 pc (the will only produce these if I can get a min order of 10 units)
$560+ tax installed if we can get 10 min people (Cash deals no tax will be charged, and no receipt)
$510+ tax installed if we can get 20+ people (Cash deals no tax will be charged, and no receipt)

Terms of sale: 50% down at time of order, last 50% after installation, 3yr Manufacture warranty on any manufactures defects, with receipt, Aprox manufacturing time 4-6 week after first order.
Shipping: This offer is avaible for Ontario residence, no shipping the US.

If you have any further questions please feel free to email jettasporteditiontdi@gmail.com post your questions, or send me a PM.

Hi what would it be to have it installed on ALH, no cat, full system without muffler? I assume your 560 is for downpipe and test pipe only or does it include tail pipe section also? I am seriously interested.

This downpipe will go from the stock CAT section to the turbo. The back section would be extra. I'll try and get some price on a 2.5" complete system including down pipe back.

Don't forget folks ... Drive Clean test is supposed to include a visual check that emission control equipment (i.e. catalytic converter) is in place ... whether they do it or not (or even know what to look for) is quite another matter, of course. Just making sure you all know.

Guys...

I just removed my downpipe, cut it off at the back of the cat, gutted the cat, welded a nice new pipe on and reconnected it with a coupler and voila!

better than having a cat with a 2.5" downpipe or 3" for that matter... fumes are slightly heavier but meh.. no biggie and it passes a drive clean.... plus egt's are lower.

If you read my first post a CAT can be added to the pipe if you want one. And last knowone made a visual check to see if I still had one plus with a skid plate it makes it harder for them to do it and prove it. This is a feeler if I don't have 10 or more people, then this pipe will not be fabricated. Please keep this Thread on track.....

Brian was not sugesting anything. He is a well regarded moderator here, that was a polite way to say don't talk about CAT removals which is against fourm rules.

Back on track,

the person I said I knew that would want one chimed in, DiRoTDI so don't count my sugestion as a count.

$560 is a lot for something that is all show and no go. This with the GB last year and the fact that there is already a reputable supplier (PP) for the same part means this probably wont go anywhere.

My research, in order: 1) Passenger Performance (a canadian vendor and tdiclub sponsor) already sells these and they have a good rep 2) it is a mod with little benefit 3) it is expensive, even if your price is better than PP + install 4) most who wanted one bought one with the GB last year 5) a 3yr warranty from an unnamed Brampton shop means relatively little to most people

EDIT: Seems you deleted one of your posts. Whatever.

Good point, but PP prices start at $550 for the ALH not including install
and $598 for the PD not including install.

We can do it for $560 installed if we get 10+ people
OR We can do it for $510 installed if we get 20 people

The shop is called AST Auto Select Tuning

Thanks for contributing yet another negative post grawil, do you have anything positive to say?

Are you suggesting opening up the exhaust has no benefit?
