Hi, I was working on repairing my hood and door microswitches yesterday and using VCDS to check their statuses.
Initially I could scan the CCM, but the second (and next 20 times) I got no response from the CCM.
This morning I disconnected the battery and shorted the terminals (to discharge module power supply filter capacitors) to solve a CCM latch-up situation (all I could think of)... it worked. Though I am still getting "intermittant communication" as a DTC. Am satisfied. This solution was proposed by Uwe Ross in answer to another thread.
BTW: running fully licenced/activated VCDS 805.4, HEX USB+CAN cable bought from Hex-Diagnostics, South Africa (Rosstech agent) on a Dell Latitude D630 under Windows Vista Professional.
