I should soon consider a new clutch on my car and of course i will put on an upgraded clutch rather then a stock one since im going to run with a custom map. I have tried to search for a decent upgraded clutch online but havent found anything. I dont want any on/off sinter-clutch since my car is a daily driver.....A friend had a Golf 1 with 16V Oettinger with 170-180 bhp which had an unsprung sinter-clutch and that was not fun to take off with. The clutch was either ON or OFF.....nothing in between :rolleyes:

hello there,
my wife has a 6n2 1.4 tdi,only remap.
2 problems
1.clutch sliping,tomorrow will resolve that.
2. turbo spits the oil in back .
since reconditioning the stock turbo costs me @200E,or tuning it to hybrid @250(the guy said i'll do 1.5 bar boost),i'll fit a vnt one in there.
a have one from a AXR101,and one from a AUY116.I also have the n75 valve,downpipe.what else do i need?
should i put the 116 gt1749v? why not a 1749va or 1749vb?
or should i go with the KKK from AXR?
i want the car for daily drive,so i want power on low rpm,i have stock intercooler,decat,should i delete the EGR? would be better for economy/fast warming?
what pres can handle each other of that turbo in this little 3cyl? now boost goes to 1.25.

1749v does 1.5-1.6 bar at 4k with low emp (cant recall exact numbers) spool slightly better than stock wastegate unit. Va can also spool well but i think vb will surge or spool later

so,i'll stick to 1749v.my tuner said 1.5 is max for stock intercooler.personally i think 110-120 hp for city driving are ok.with my mk4 i really struggle.
kp39 spools better? really i like the sound of kkk :)
Rub87 so far i have all i need but no file from a stock ATL to modify.Can you tell me where to find it?

Kp39 has quite weak shaft/bearing, but if you're lucky and have a good one, why not.

Apart from maybe comp exit they are identical to 1749v va vb so its a quick change to try

looking at these two,1749 will fit because of exit to intercooler.kp39 needs the tube.
i ll stick to 1749v.

the N75 works off of a 300 Hz square wave, PWM signal. It'll be just fine if you swap it to a difference connector housing, but make sure you keep the same polarity.

Finished the project.thanks for help.
1.4 bar booost is enough to lunch the litle polo in front of a 1.9 tdi with turbo upgrade :)
So far clutch does not slip but his life will be short with 300 nm
Found a polo 1.9 tdi gearbox. This will fit on shafts and everithing? What else do i need?

U need offcourse smf flywheel, g60 or ahu and 228mm clutch.

In 1.4 tdi a part of crank counterweight is in the flywheel, but i think it has been done before to just mount 4 cyl flywheel.

What turbo did you go for? Hows the spool?

1749v fron 116pd spools better than stock.
2200 rpm full boost,but at 1800 rpm already has almost 1 bar,then it goes to limiter :)
I have a valeo single mass 228mm should to the job. I think driveshaft will be a problem.if not is plug & play

I've done a few with GT1749V, spools good and good power.
Best one did 160 hp and is in light 3L Lupo body, it's pretty quick :)

in 1.4 bar and some smoke at the end reached 127 HP(3000 rpm-5000 rpm)
happy with the result

What does that cc thing mean? IIRC the old 1.4 tdi inj are similary sized to ARL. ~27 deg for 60 mg at 4k in the last big duratin map

Hi Ruben,

Old AMF 75hp 3 cylinder has 465cc injectors similar to PD115 AJM. Quite a bit smaller than ARL injectors like Bobby said. Only good for say ~165hp with a reasonable injection duration...

The ATL 90hp 3 cylinder in the A2 had larger injectors, similar to some longitudinally mounted PD130 engines. Slightly smaller than ARL, I think ~530cc...also lower CR due to different pistons.

it can go better but enough for daily wife car.

try 1.6 bar, turbo doesnt mind.. the one I made is still running I think, didnt hear anything from him :p

Yeah still running fine :D

My boost gauge is 'only' showing 1.5 bar max , I might have a small boostleak ?

I have some soot in the engine bay, guess the EGR port isn't blocked completely. Wanna have a look at it sometime Ruben?

Rub i do not want more,is enough for a heavy traffic like Bucharest,intercooler may be small for 1.6,and i need a new map :),so it goes like that so good.

We tune a 1.2TDI (stock PD60).

Put in bigger injectors 520cc (from BLT) ....stock was only 360cc :D
Larger turbo from 1.6 cr tdi ...GTC1244VZ
Bigger downpipe (deleted one of two cat)
Head studs are stock on this engine!!! :cool:

Our target is 130hp.

First safe tune was a litle bit more than 110hp ....so about 1,45bar.
Turbo spools like stock.

At the moment get only 100hp, because don't get enouph air mass :mad:
We think boost pipes are too small? They are only 38mm :eek: ...or exhaust too small?

What do you think guys?

Ruben, do you think it's worthwhile upgrading to VNT15 / GTC1444VZ on stock 465cc injectors? Running with 1.9 TDI 02J / VR6 setup...

Yes, but still with stock injectors...don't think there's fuelling for much more than ~120 / 125hp. Bottom end should be improved. Probably top end too...stock turbo runs out of puff at 3.5k :(

Don't want to invest too much into this 13 y/o car, hence thinking of keeping stock injectors... but then it may not be worthwhile.
