Main Bearing ?

I'm rebuiling a 96 1Z Passat engine. The main bearings I got are Std. Glyco(Federal Mogul) There are 10 bearings 6 with oil grooves 4 without. In the engine was 5 grooves 5 without. I checked with the supplier they said all their bearing set look the same. Is this a Manu. mistake? Or where does the extra oil grooved bearing go? I'm afraid of a pressure drop due to the groove-hole leaking past the bearing cap. Thoughts?
