Default 2009 Jetta TDI Most Miles/Tank?

How far have you gone on a single tank of fuel in your 09 Jetta TDI? My best is 613 miles, 50% highway, 25% suburbs, and 25% city driving.

My best is about 570 miles, 600 miles is definitely do-able. I have to confess though, that was on a roadtrip with like 80% highway.

I didn't keep track of milage/tank when I went on a 750 miles road trip 90% freeway, but I did record 49 mpg which works out to around 650. However, since then I have kept track. I regularly get 530 miles between fill ups.

My best tank (actual calc) has been 48.5 mpg. Several times I've filled up around 640 miles, but at that point it's beginning to make me nervous.

Currently have 42K on the car.

635.2 Miles, using 14.408 Gallons, working out to 44.1 US MPG. Was about 60/40 hwy/city.
The Trip Computer said I had 20 or 25 Miles left. Fuel Gauge was just a hair above E when I got fuel.

My best MPG Ever, was 45.7, so I know I can get higher, just need longer road trips to do it.

On a road trip, I got to 1000 kms (620 miles) when I filled up... based on amount left on the guage and the MFD read out I could have made just over 700 miles. That was 100% highway, with a few stops along the way... I need a 700 mile bladder!

1011.15km (628 mi) is my current best and that wasn't pushing it too badly.

I know I have gone ~140km (87mi) past the fuel light coming on. (Should have wrote down exactly how far I went so I know for the future).

On a long trip, I think 1030km (640mi) is definitely achievable without much trouble.

I got just under 750 on a tank, but it was aided by going down a mountain pass, then driving through flat desert. I averaged about 600 miles per tank.

Just picked up a 2010, and the first tank averaged 40mpg. Salesman said they did make some ECU changes(programming??) and that the 2010 should get a shade better mileage. Whether that is true or not, I have no idea.

I got 46.5 MPG calculated doing 560 miles on a tank I still had 100 miles left acording to the MFD, gas light wasn't on either. I wasn't driving for economy either, 75-80 most of the time. Hard not to stay in the left lane. MFD commonly displays trip avg of 50MPG but we all know how true it is.

My best was 715 miles on a tank (required 14.1 gallons to fill = 51 mpg) but think I should out-do that on my current tank. My previous record was 80% driving at 55 mph.

I've been continuing to learn how to maximize my mileage - what amazes me is the incredibly low resistance the tires have - I can coast for a half a mile without losing much speed. Makes me think about replacing the tires on my gasser to newer tires that offer lower rolling resistance.

I also think my car's engine seems to be performing better as diesel enthusiasts have promised (though my first tank was my record one - probably because I was driving really cautiously).

my best tank has been 45.5 calc manually.. I don't play the miles per tank
game as i live rural. So when my light comes on i usually find a pump.
don't want to get stuck to prove a point if you get my drift.
best trip on the dash has been 47.8..all in all pretty happy with the JSW.
One must baby it otherwise mid to high 30's..
