Parts Place/recycled bug in Michigan has them some times

What about getting a engine from europe....say the honda 2.2 diesel thats been there since 2003, with harness and such. Has anyone done this? What are the pros and cons? I live in Canada and always wanted to something like putting one of these types of engines in a inexpensive car here, like a 2001-02 wagon of some sort(I'm a courier). I love the mileage of my a4 but have spent 6k on parts in 2 yrs! Guess its a lemon.
