This is how the contest works:
This is a month by month competition. Everytime you make an entry it will be added up and recorded together according to the fuel type and car/year you are driving.
THIS IS NOT an individual tank competition (or a partial tank competition for that matter).

Entries will be accepted until September 5th...but remember, report tanks filled in August.

If you have any questions, PM me.

[please use the below format for your entry]

The Warden drove the car all week last week, then on Saturday took it to Atlanta and back. She made it all the way back, and put it in the garage on vapor. I got the privelege of driving it this morning (and taking it real easy to not run out of gas) and filling it up.

43.25MPG New commute, 27miles each way 60% at 70MPH the rest around 40MPH. Many trips the Jetta were packed full, emptying my mini-storage. High AC use also. I still have a handfull of 2 mile trips during the work day.
I'm aiming for 45MPG on my new commute. I did have one very bad night of traffic, stop and go for an hour. FYI most my miles are on 35W, luckly I just moved and will avoid the traffic jams with the bridge going down.

43.1 mpg. Worst tank in a long time due to heavy DC-Beltway usage. Sat in traffic at Woodrow Wilson Bridge, twice each way for approx 2 hrs of stop-n-go. Drove no less than 70mph rest of time to avoid evil stares and gestures.

Tried Royal Farms' Enroy-brand premium auto diesel on Rt 8 west of Dover. Least smoke I've ever had and still got a 700+ tank with 50% beltway lunacy. Appears to be good stuff.

Did a lot of running around this tank. I filled up with 5 gallons of B100 and the rest ULSD. I also changed out wheels/tires to OEM 15x6 and 195/65-15. SHould be interesting to see any changes in mileage...also changed air/fuel filters and cleaned MAF along with 5 liters of ELF EXcillium. She's running real smooth so we'll see how it goes.

The first one is really two fillups - one in July and one in August. My wife filled up in July but forgot to write the statistics down, so I kept the total going, and this is the two fillups together.

Stats on the second one:
- @ 30,255
- filled up on 8/5
- fillup achieved 40.5 mpg
- lifetime fuel economy remains at 38.8
- driving the TDI at a rate of 24,164 miles/year
- our overall driving rate (both cars) is 36,744 miles/year

41.17 mpg. Ugh. AC+drving like a bat out of hell take their toll. I also suspect that my sticking VNT actuator has been robbing me of some milage. Any opinions?

Had to cut this tank short due to a long road trip this weekend, but would've had a shot at 1500kms. Last tank before getting some Aligator tuning... :)

This was my third tank since puchase and the car is at 10,725 total miles. My second tank gave me 716 miles and 48.02mpg. The first tank was filled by the dealer and gave bogus numbers because it was underfilled.
