This is how the contest works:
This is a month by month competition. Everytime you make an entry it will be added up and recorded together according to the fuel type and car/year you are driving.
THIS IS NOT an individual tank competition (or a partial tank competition for that matter).

Entries will be accepted until July 5th...but remember, report tanks filled in JUNE.

If you have any questions, PM me.

[please use the below format for your entry]

90% highway miles -This is a personal best. 60 mph most of the time, 1900 rpm (55 mph is 1700 rpm) I can't believe how hard it is to drive for maximum economy! This next tank won't be near as good! ;)

I cleaned just the EGR valve. Will do the intake and intercooler piping sometime in the next couple of weeks. Also drove conservatively at 55-60 MPH throughout the entire time.

No highway, but warmer weather has been good on the suburban commute this tank - 50.22 MPG. 38 PSI in the tires made for some 'interesting' wet weather braking tonight.

Almost 2 round trips to/from work. Probably could have been better, but the AC was on for the last 150 miles.

1 round trip from my B20 station to work & back to the B20... got home with 71.2 miles on the fresh tank. I can't wait until my ship goes back to Everett so I can commute only 60 miles each way instead of 170-180 (depending on route).

100 Mile commutes. Almost all freeway going there. Coming home is 50% freeway and 50% rural highway with a couple miles of city driving. Speed limit drive, not rush hour. Some advanced economy techniques like timing lights, momentum, driving with load, coasting and key-off. AC used intelligently. No drafting trucks.
Just enjoying the ride.

Lock up torque converter is slipping so I should be able to increase this shortly.

Diesel is 2.93 currently in Cheektowaga NY (near Buffalo)

Come on auto guys lets get some numbers up here.

Get a nice cushy Government job. With compressed work schedule and telework, I've whittled it down to three days of commuting a week, no Fridays.:D
