Top Post Dawg
This is how the contest works:
This is a month by month competition. Everytime you make an entry it will be added up and recorded together according to the fuel type and car/year you are driving.
THIS IS NOT an individual tank competition (or a partial tank competition for that matter).
Tank dates are judged on when the tank was filled, not when the miles were driven. Example - say you drove 600 miles in March, but you filled up on April 1 - These count for the APRIL competiton, not the March one.
Also - Entries for April will be accepted until 2359 EDT 5 May 2007.
Any posts not in format will not be accepted as entries. Putting several fillups in one post is acceptable, as long as each fillup follows the format.
I prefer US gallons and miles, but I do have a site bookmarked that has conversions.

Hello everyone!
Couple of things....
Whoever is doing the April competition please let me know. I would like to provide a small prize to the winner of the April compeitition. Here are the rules I am making for the prize.
1) I am not eligible. I'm driving for mileage and will probably be in the 60's most of the month.
2) You must have at least 500 miles/10 gallons, I don't care if that means you filled up in December and filled next April 1st to get your 500, I just don't want to see a 6-gallon "tank" with 63 MPG. (I myself am trying to hold off until April 1st to fill next!)
3) Only diesels are allowed to compete for the prizes
4) Contest will end the night of the 26th. Whoever is ahead at that time must contact me ASAP, because prize will be shipped the 27th. This is a way for me to get rid of some of the last things that I will have with me at school--I drive home on the morning of the 29th and I can't ship items on Saturday or Sunday.
5) This will obviously be on the honor system. I think we take great pride in being for the most part a very honest and trustworthy community. As my high school physics teacher always told us, "Don't massage your numbers to get the outcome you want!"
And the winners -
overall / gas - sno779 Louis
Diesel / Jetta / manual - Brock_from_wi
Jetta auto - rgiskard
GOlf Manual - gdr703
Golf Auto ADVNTURR
NB manual - Ernie Rogers
NB Auto - sourmash
Biodiesel - gdr703
