I can sell you the Espar Hydronic D5 S for $1050 and the install is not bad at all. We installed a couple on TDI's. One was in Toronto I beleive and I forget where the other was. Anyway that includes 7 day timer and if you don't want that we will take $110 off the price. They fit in the drives side fend well. Just remove the fender liner and their you go. I could have it installed in about 4-5 hours or so, may be a bit more since its been a couple of years since I've done one. At 17K btu it will flat run you out of the car and heat everything very fast. You don't have to worry about finding 110V and then hoping the breaker does not trip. Also since this is only a 6 quart system it will heat the water to 165* then cut back to low until it gets to 175*. Then it will shut the burner off but still continue to circulate the water. When the temp gets down a bit it will fire back up. If you want something that will keep you warm when parked this is it.

I don't have any that are installed in the VW. If you just want to look at the unit just go here. www.finetuningperformance.com

Can you install in a Sprinter?
Also, do you have (or can you get) the D2 or D4 hot air units? Been contemplating the installation of one of those in the motorhome.
Thanks,
Don

I haven't been able to get an answer out of Espar -- can you run this on B20, and can you use the remote if you don't have the timer?
Thanks,
Gordon

All kits Hydronic kits I sell includes 7 day timer. Yes they can be installed in the Sprinter and we can get all Espar heaters. We sell many of the D2/D4 Airtronics. B15 is OK but any more and you my have trouble. I have many that that use B10 in California in both air and water heaters.

I'm cheap. And if I can use the remote and not the timer, I will be a happy, cheap, and warm man.

Yes you can use a remote. I have a truck with a remote, since it does not use the trunk button I use it to start the Espar. Plus its 2 way so I know if it started or not.
