Thanks. I was looking at a dusty tool the Snap-On Stealer had on his truck and was wondering if it would fit. According to this, it won't.

Also I have a pin for a VP44 pump that is basically the same thing and I was wondering if it would work, but according to this, the pim is too big at ~ .234 in. whereas I have been told by some that they use a 15/64 drill bit which is .234 inches...

So now I'm all confused on the pin. Obviously the Dusty tool I saw won't work but now I'm curious about the pump pin.

Yeah, good catch on the pin. I suck with Canvas. I spent so much time trying to get the program to work that I made a typo that I did not catch. You are right, .236 on the pin diameter. I will get the photo corrected.

Cool, next question, how deel is that measurement? Ithink the pin I have may have an issue there. I measured it yesterday, but I forgot what it was...

Really need to reload that photographic memory.

Ok, fixed, sorry for the goof, nice catch. Not sure what you mean by deel? maybe how long the pins are? The pin depth is .150, they are not that long. Oh, something else to correct!

Fixed the pin length too. Anything else that I messed up on?? Yeah, I would think that a 15/64 drill bit would work fine at .234 for the A4 pump pin. Now, I if I could just get someone to post the measurements of the cam pulley tool.......

OOOps. I meant how long is that .234 part of the pin? It shoulders up, so how long from the end to that shoulder.

And on the cam holding tool, it looks like an E, right. Lay that E so the three points are down on a table. What is the distance from the table to the center leg?

The part of the pin that necks down is a piece of plastic slipped on the straigh steel rod. Skip it you don't need it. The center measurement I will get for you tomorrow.

The thing is I have the correct diameter pin, but it has a metal shoulder partway up. It's actually offset to set the timing with the offset part, of a size that fits in a much larger hole in the gear.

I have found a snap on 3/8" drive 11mm chrome deep socket works very well as a pump lock pin for a3,b4 injection pumps.

Are the Passat and Golf Cam lock plate and Fuel pump pin the same. Where can I get the tool to hold the Cam gear while removing the bolt?
