Please post ALL of your tanks for the month. Individual tanks are also much easier for me to deal with rather than monthly totals.

Not too bad for driving like a 16-year-old on crack with my new PP520s. :D I wanted to sneak this in last month and start March anew, but I couldn't get down there to fill up yesterday.

Well, now that I'm back driving like my old self, let's see how much I can break 50MPG by. ;)

Probably could have made it to 600 miles. This was the most miles I've had on a tank yet.

Apologies - the wife topped off the car, we're heading to the beach today. She didn't fill it as much as I would have, so this tank is extremely high given past history for this car. - 56.17 MPG . Oh well - it will get fixed when I fill it up next...

42.78 calculated. Hadn't done this poorly since April when it was new.
This was the result of a fast 70 plus mph trip to Shreveport. This cost me approx 7mpg. Well, look at it this way. What other vehicle can travel at that speed and at that comfort level and still return near 43 MPG?

I did not try to conserve fuel and drove like I still had my Turbo Beetle.
I will try to keep it conservative this tank. Vented the tank again.

THis tank - 33.74 - month to date - 703.3 miles , 18.015 gallons , 39.0397 MPG .

This weekend was out to the beach (Nag's Head) - even a lowly 4A New Beetle can make a roundtrip on ONE tank from Raleigh :)

Slow down, did 60mph indicated on this, 33% city mileage, which if I get to 45mph on scan gauge and in 5th gear, bumps my mpg through the roof, like in the 78mpg range on "current mpg" readings. As usual, cold starts drag your mpg down also. Shift soon and slow down.

I find just the opposite. If I short shift 1300-1500RPM my fuel mileage goes down the toilet. But If I accelerate "briskly" and shift in the 2200-2500RPM range I tend not to loose as much over the long run. Also, increase my criuse to and from work from 65MPH (2000RPM) to 73MPH (2200RPM) nets me about a 10% increase in overall mileage.

Now there could be some major factors due to the fact that I am a B5 Passat Wagon (nore areodynamic) and have a much wider tourque curve. (Peak torque 1300-3200)

I have heard about chips for the golf as well as exhaust that are supposed to increase my mileage. Does anyone know about these items? I have a factory standard 2006 Golf TDI at this point. I have only owned a TDI since September 2005 so I am new to TDI's and still learning all that I can. Lilacsz26

Some 80-85 mph driving.
Mufflerectomy, Upsolute chip, ventectomy, EGR bypass. 44psi
Would like to get back to the 48 mpg level I used to be at, but the chip is too much fun.

Note for all those who may care: All miles were recorded in LA and Orange Counties. Should have pushed for the 700 mile tank in the city. Maybe this next tank.
