it sure does. My girl absolutely loves the feel of the new knob
Her shifting has gotten very crisp and precise since I intalled it, the only thing left to do is mod the actual shifter for throw reduction
Thanks again gerwazy!

i got one of these aswell, nice unit. you will need to afix the boot somehow as this piece doesnt have an elastic sewn in.

i used a 3" rubber oring...placed it into a glass of hot water from the tap..then stretched it over the bracket with no problems.

I have a 98 Beetle. Would this work? or do you have a source for beetle style shifter/boot combos...

That's a good price, the stock leather ones set you back double that amount at the stealership, and this one has a custom look. I'd buy it, but I just replaced mine with a stock vinyl boot and shift. Made the car feel new again.

It has a really nice custom look and feels great too. I have lowered my asking price as well, just for TDI club customers.
Thanks.

Nice knob...

Is the price the same when shipped to Canada? My shifter boot leather(ette) has worn away to the ugly fabric underneath. I have an 03 Jetta. Does your shifter boot have the same elastic around the base of the boot to attach to the console?
