Code P0183..Fuel temperature sensor??? WHAAA??

My 01 Golf, Upsolute, AEM cold air induction, Greasecar kit has recently been throwing this code. How critical is this and is there an easy fix? Anyone had this problem before?

where are you located? You need to get the part from the dealer. $18 or so. But you need a special tool to get into the injection pump or a vise grip and a new bolt once you ruin the old one.

Car is in Atlanta, but i've lent it to a friend for his honeymoon so he's a little busy this week. Ordinarily its in Southeast Tennessee.

Will this cause him a problem on his honeymoon, or will it be ok until i can arrange to meet someone with the special tool??

Should be fine. Decreased mileage and some smoke but ok for now. Have him fill it with regular diesel. These cars don't like WVO too much
