I'll post results for the June Comp later on tonight.

As for July:
All you need to do to be apart of this is post the following things:
Driver Name
Miles travelled
amount of fuel used
model year of car
model of car
transmission type
Type of Fuel used

If they are in that order it's a huge plus, but they don't have to be..

Also, don't forget to post all of your fillups. This is a monthly competition, not a tank competition...

7/3/05 - Oakdale, MN - $18.18
341.6 mi - 8.084 gal - 42.26 mpg - $2.249/gal - 5.32¢/mi
549.8 km - 30.601 L - 5.57 L/100km - 59.4¢/L - 30.24 km/$

7/2005 - Month to date - $31.54
619.3 mi - 13.897 gal - 44.56 mpg - $2.270/gal - 5.09¢/mi
996.7 km - 52.606 L - 5.28 L/100km - 60.0¢/L - 31.60 km/$

Trying to see if I can find the source of someone's low MPG (test split of 78.3 mi / 1.664 gal = 47.06 mpg included). Adjustments as previously announced.

Somehow, I think the pavement at the station in Minnetonka isn't level, apparently sloped away from the building so one side of the car is a little higher than the other, and is skewing my results; I will have to investigate further. Perhaps that explains the weird result in Blaine a few weeks ago and several other weird results, as well (the Duluth test in May comes to mind).

Just came back from a weekend trip. I drove my 05 Jetta with 5 speed stick 669.3KM and used 31.56 litres of type D2 fuel.
Was a total of about 90 highway I guess but I kinda left the fuel mileage department and drove 110 to 130 most of the way.

Jetta A leaves Fort Wayne, IN at 9 AM travelling 60 mph. Jetta B leaves Cleveland, OH at 10 AM, travelling 43 mph.

Barring any outside influences, how many banjo players would be needed to deliver pizzas to them every 25 miles along their route?

Here you go John.

I added the miles per gallon because we, the drivers, should calculate it and not you. I also included the additive I used and how much I've used of it.

Lots of city driving (30%) and mountain climbing (20%) that absolutely kill fuel economy for this tank.

I regrouped all small fill ups under a big one and included 60 ml of Ezoil Diesel Aid in the total volume.

[Driver] Mike_M
[Year] 2002
[Model] Jetta GLS
[Tranny] 5-speed
[Fuel] B99

This tank:
[Date] 7/1
[Driving] 75% city/surface streets, 25% highway
[Miles] 617
[Gals] 13.050
[MPG] 47.280

Yeah, yeah...that included about 1/3 tank of driving like a madman trying to keep up with azbioguy, mahoutsukai, et al, on a GTG drive down to Southeastern Arizona. Going up a 10% grade at 80 in 4th at WOT is NOT conducive to getting 50+mpg.

Just so you guys can see what I'm working with on my Excel Sheet:

http://pics.tdiclub.com/data/503/28929example.jpg

It's basically a database that a PivotTable accesses and then displays. So by that database there are actually 286 data points right now. So I have some pretty good data, unfortuneately it's not all properly sorted because I only started doing it this way since last month. It makes it extremely easy for me to make the table.

So basically I just enter the info into the database from left to right and then I can make a table based on all or none of that info. So if I want to make a table of all automatic trannies running Biodiesel, I can do that for one month, or the whole year. It's really pretty neat. I'll upload the spreadsheet if anybody really wants to look at it...

656 miles on 15.94 gal of 47cetane D2. Lots of A/C and spirited driving make 41.15 MPG nothing to be ashamed of. It's a 2005 NB 5M, stock except for a mufflerectomy. I think the RS-As that I got in the wheel swap may need to be inflated higher...they came off a more enthusiatic owner's car than mine.

As you can see I am a newbie. Going on 2nd month of owning a TDI. I have 2 gas/miles for the month of July.

macmca

Diesel (not sure what is ment by type of fuel)

1st fill:
8.12 gallons
369.4 miles (80% city 20% hwy)
45.5 mpg

7/8: Trip to Minn.

8.29 gallons ($20.19)
455.3 miles
54.9 mpg.

I haven't added fuel since being back as usually fill at 1/2 tank...maybe do that today but am at 3/4 tank as of now. Probally should as going back home the car wasn't loaded so maybe a tad higher millage with out the added the weight.

One question: Do you round off numbers when doing your totals?

The type of fuel is for Biodiesel or regular D2 diesel.
And no, I don't round off any number, the numbers you give me are the ones that I post up.
