Revised B4 MFA conversion article
Read the article again...the adaptor is required only if you use the stock TDI tach face in the GLS cluster. Its desirable to use the TDI face since you otherwise would have an inappropriate gasser redline and would have to either live with it or modify it graphically...and, in either case, would have less of a factory TDI look.

So Chris... what face did you use to get rid of the "unleaded fuel only". I remember people giving you crap about that

Revised B4 MFA conversion article
Its covered by a printed graphic that pretty closely matches the flat black of the speedo face.

Can't help with the upgraded power supply, but hold off on the pulse frequency adaptor and mileage re-programming for the moment...there may be an update on this soon.

This would be a newer update. Greg is working on reprogramming the controller chip, but isn't there yet, so, if you're in a hurry, go ahead with the pulse adaptor method. Performance and appearance would be identical between the two methods.

I'm wondering if this "newer" update was ever finalized or not ?

I never heard back from Greg, so I don't believe he was able to get past the read-only status of the chip in order to edit it.

Has anyone looked up this part number? Maybe I'm reading ETKA's cryptic descriptions wrong, but it appears to be a gauge cluster for B4 TDIs with a 140 MPH speedometer and MFA:
3A0 919 910EX
dash panel insert / 140MPH / 1Z,AFN,AHU
dash panel insert
for vehicles with multi function indicator
F 3A-T-000 001>>
The Russian ETKA site shows a list price(?) of $296.97.
p.s. ETKA shows many Euro goodies that we never got here in the USA... such as a "taxi" console, a wooden shift knob, the automatic climate control system, and a rear-facing third seat for the B4 wagon!

Does anyone have a rough estimate of the cost of the parts for doing this swap?
Thanks,
Matt B.

I'm assuming that there would be no problem using a cluster out of a GLX with an auto tranny? Switching out the gauge face on the tachometer would cover the gear selector display, correct? Any input would be appreciated.
