Volkswagen Canada Records Best October Ever

AJAX, ON, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - Volkswagen Canada sales of 4,031 for October were up 13.8% or 488 units over the October 2001 mark of 3,543 vehicles, which gave Volkswagen Canada its best October ever.
Sales of the Volkswagen Golf and GTI for the month of October reached 1,089 units, an increase of 33.6% over the 815 units sold in October 2001.
Sales of the Volkswagen Jetta continued to be strong with 2,272 units sold in the month of October, compared with the 1,826 units sold in October 2001, an increase of 24.4%
To date this year, Volkswagen Canada has retailed 35,872 vehicles.

Seems to me that the Passat is lagging in sales. I say they really need to bring the TDI here, and also offer new trim packages, such as a sport package. Mix that in with more competitive interest rates, and hopefully Passat sales will start to increase again.

VWDerf, That's excellent news for VW. Any idea what the split is between gas and diesel?
i.e. Is the diesel market growing more than the gas market?

Captaingomes! Was looking to purchase a Passat - Had a 2002 BMW330xi - Would you believe that they wanted MY BMW plus $5,000 Cndn for a VOLKSWAGEN Passat - Ended up getting a 2003 Jetta TDI wagon plus an AWD Impreza for the bimmer (at another dealer of course)

Dasher, nice vehicle choices, but I must ask, why did you get rid of the BMW so quickly?
