Hey all,
Didn't realize there was a TX group... until now. I'm a new-ish transplant to DFW... and need to find a mechanic for my wife's (non-TDI) B4 Passat. It's going to need a new tranny (O2A) soon, and I just don't have the time to rebuild it or pull/install one.
Between grad school, work, and two youngsters, my wrenching time has taken a nose dive. It's a wonder I keep my sanity without it.
Anyhow, I saw someone mentioned Lord of the Rings in Farmers Branch - anyone have another recommendation or two? Doesn't have to be a TDI specialist - just someone who's attentive and doesn't do sloppy work.
Recommendations for tranny sources would be great, too... never thought I'd need one, so I've never checked into it until now. $$$$ ...Ouch. They're pricey, plus shipping of course... so local would be better. (But I did once order a set of heads for my '91 IDI Ford from Canada based on their quality... so fire away)
