Default 2002 battery drain question

I just got this 02 Jetta so I am new to VW's. It was hit in the front by a deer but damage was't bad at all, only thing electrical broke was passenger headlight and that has been replaced. My problem is there's a battery drain and I am trying to track it down. One of the things I noticed was the lights for the heater controls will go on and off. Also, the passenger back door don't unlock with switch but it tries to unlock it but can't get it up all the way. My question is does it sound like one of these issues listed could be the problem?
