Just ordered replacement DSG flywheel bolts from ID parts. Put them in got transmission bolted back up getting ready to put motor back in car. Thought I would roll motor. Would not budge. Removed transmission, still no go. Removed flywheel and now it moves. Compared replacement bolts with originals and they are 6mm longer. Not sure what this does but crank was stuck. So now I learned that even with a trusted supplier, you need to check what they ship you.

In IDParts' defense, the exact same thing happened to me but from a different very
trusted vendor. In my case the right bolts were in hand within 2 days.
No big deal but I discovered it before attaching the transmission.

Yes I guess I should have checked what they sent me. I did not think about that because of who they are and I have gotten parts before. But the rear crank seal was also defective because oil pan bolt holes were not deep enough. And I emailed them about the seal, and have never got a reply. Will phone somebody.
