Actuator question.

i got a stock 1998 jetta tdi, what would happen if i just removed the vacuum hose from the actuator and disabled it? do i get more power due to boost? just something i randomly thought of right now. Also, what turbo would my engine have? it's an AHU engine.

You do not have vacuum hose attached to the turbo. It is regulated positive boost pressure that operates the actuator. If you remove the hose the engine will go into limp mode to protect from overboosting....providing your turbo/charged air system is capable of making boost.
