Kenwood DNX9980 or Kenwood DNX6190?

Been contemplating on getting either the Kenwood DNX9980 or DNX6190. Anyone have any experience with either? Or maybe have a suggestion on a better in-dash gps head unit? Also, is there a VW disc to load into the unit? Reason I ask, I was in a VW Jetta a few months back that had a kenwood 7180 in it. When he started the car, the VW logo came up on the screen. Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated

I've run kenwood double dins in my cars for years. Liked both of them.

I had a DDX514 Just upgraded to one with integrated nav. Never had any problems with the first one.
