Swapped out the driver's seat in IBW for a seat that I got from a wreck '03 Jetta Wagon with 100K miles on it. I figure my seat has 250K or more on it (I had Recaros in there for a few years). Seat is WAY better. I knew it was getting tired, but when things happen over time you don't really notice until you change them out.

Car is getting its annual full detail on Tuesday.

FYI - the bottom cushion is not Right/Left specific, so you can probably put a passengers side bottom in that has even fewer “butt” miles.

Thought about that. I have the passenger seat from the same car, side airbag deployed, but that doesn't matter. Maybe that's the next step.

It’s a great way to restore the lower side bolster (especially on the square style) on the entry side that gets smushed.

Picked up an 11mm pump yesterday near a work assignment and idled home through many miles of memorial day weekend traffic for a low 36ish mpg. Today I put the glove box back in from oiling the HVAC blower motor and put rivnuts in for a DieselGeek Panzer/FMJ. I'll see about some pictures of the 1.8t pancake pipe while I'm at it.

Spent the day trying to r&r the alternator on her NB. There's even photos of a couple of the jems I ended up finding (along with 5 pounds of sand, a lot of which did its level best to fall right in my eyes, but that happens no matter what...).
Anyway, check it out: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread...33#post5511133

Cheers,

PH

I blew a power steering hose, line rusted out by the banjo fitting at the rack.
Used a spare that I had.
Bad one was 18 years old........not too shabby.
