Electrical connector on #3 injector.

I replaced the head on my 2001 Jetta with one from a 2003 model. Although the heads are the same, the electrical connectors which come off of the third injector are different -- they will not go into each other.

What would be the smartest way for me to proceed? I was thinking of cutting and splicing wires, but I do not want to mix them up backwards. Has anyone encountered this issue?

Thank you,
Alex

Very easy to fix. Do NOT cut the wire. Go to one of our vendors on the club here, I got mine from frank06, and ask for the newer style connector. Remove the wires from your old connector and place them in the new one and you are done.

I see you are in Oregon, boraparts might have these back in stock again. He did not when I needed to do mine.

Oh I see. Thank you all for the advice! I'll get looking for a newer connector. Hopefully I can get one delivered quickly.
