Who sells Bosch 120A voltage Regulator for ALH?

I need to replace the voltage regulator on my '01 NB - I don't see a club vendor that sells them - anybody know a place to get a real Bosch one?

What do you think on the Slip Ring wear?

Below is a photo of my alternator slip rings - looks like maybe 1.5 - 2.0 mm of wear. Do you think its too worn? It has 287K miles and the alternator is not putting out anything and the brushes are worn down to almost nothing.
My questions is - can I get away with a regulator or do I need to replace the alternator. Got limited funds but hoping to get many more miles out of this bug.

Have you looked around for an alternator repair shop in your area? They might be better able to advise you.

Replace the slip ring too

I have a spare regulator and slip ring from these guys, they seem like good parts

always replace regualtors at 150K or at least check them, they wear out
i replaced them on both my TDIs

Everything wears out... eventually...

Factory original alternator and regulator... car's over 515000 miles... (I keep a spare (used) alternator in the trunk...*)

YMMV...
