Ok here is the deal upon inspection:
1: Car needs a new cam shaft and valves, bolts, seals. (a lot of metal flakes in engine).Lifters 1,2 and 4 are quite bad.
2: Clean out engine, drop oil pan.
3: The transmission will be removed in order to check the DMF as well (shop suspects it needs replacing). If the DMF does need replacing I hope that the new one will be the the new upgraded version. Old # 03G105266AP, New # 03G105266BE. Guess I should ask.
4: I will also be replacing the transmission oil, filter and seals.
5: Oh yeah I will be putting in Fuchs 507.00 oil and a new oil filter. (I assume this is a better oil than the 502?)
Reasonable prices anyone for this job(sssssssssss)
Expensive car = Expensive fix.

Good news is that it will be fixed before any major damage was done.
