Truck Stop DEF fluid

Hi all, yes I'm new to this forum, we have a 2015 Passat TDi SE w/Nav and it is a great workhorse, we bought it just a few months before dieselgate and kept it because it's been so good to us.

Question, I have bought DEF fluid online and at Walmart, is it any different than the pumps I saw at truck stops? All the same stuff? Would be easier to just fill it at a 'gas station' if that's an option.

Lastly, what's this growing in the engine bay? Left side back near the turbo.

injector plumbing issues, will toss a code eventually and needs to get replaced, will be covered under warranty.

Nothing wrong with truck stop DEF, its cheap and gets turned over faster than something that gets turned over really fast, lol.

2.79/gal at our local truck stop, i usually refill 2-2.5 cubes per visit and that lasts me around 25-30k.

Mine was replaced under warranty by the dealer. Had no code yet - emailed service department a picture and referenced the service bulletin. They set up an appointment. Only took about 2 hours from time I got to dealer to when I left.
