Wanted: 2005 Passat turbocharger

Looks like my B5.5 decided to split the turbo impeller shaft in half again. Anyone has a good used one for sale, please let me know?

I have to say it created an impressive smoke screen when all this happened.

This is not a normal problem with BHW's. I'd be looking at the tune on your ECU.

I know it isn't but it was a used turbo that I've installed so have no idea what kind of life it had before. Could be the tune could be the infrequent oil change, etc. But it did last 4 years. If I get another good used one, it probably will be the last turbo that this car will ever see.

Getting harder and harder to find them but managed to find a good used one on Kijiji for $200.

I'd still recommend having a good look at that tune.

I'm pretty sure the problem wasn't the tune. The impeller shaft snapped in half so must have been lack of lubrication. It was getting smokier and smokier during cold start since Christmas so the shaft and the bearings were wearing out.
