Towed my car 250 miles on a U-Haul dolly. Front wheels up (not in gear), back wheels on the road. Drove it on the streets for a mile or two and then on the interstate. Accelerating on the interstate I noticed a large black cloud out the exhaust the first time shifting from 2-3 or 3-4. I forget which. Never again afterwards. I regularly open it up to blow out the carbon, but I've never seen that size cloud come out. Not concerned, just curious as to what was happening. Was it due to extra fuel somehow getting in due to the angled towing?
(While towing, I saw a car just like mine pass me on the interstate. Had me wondering for a short time.)
