I have one of these in my 2007 Mazda. It can open two different garage doors, has a compass and auto-dims.

Has anyone tried to install one after-market in a 2010 Jetta of any kind? If so, can you lead me to schematics for power, running cables, etc.

Can't believe this isn't an option on all cars, what with the safety element of auto-dimming.

I plan to add one within the next month or so. I just plan on running the wires down the "A" pillar and using an "add a circuit" fuse to the fuse panel on the side of the dash.

Can also go with a Passat or Eos sunvisor with homelink. The Eos sunvisor is just a little shorter but does the job.

A few wires here and there and walla, sunvisor homelink for the TDI.

cool idea - thanks. So you don't plan on changing the windshield, etc.?

thanks - I'll look into that - didn't know they had a sunvisor with homelink.

followup: just called VW - $430! Guess I'll be searching on Ebay :)

That's where I found my homelink visor (ebay).

If you go that route you will need to do some wiring splicing and need (I think) 3 different male/females connectors. But it is an easy job.

Here's the website of the connectors that you'll need. Cost about $30 shipped.

You can PM me for part numbers.

I wouldn't replace the window. I'd use the adapter for the mirror.

I'd consider the visor. Anyone know what the color of the top half of a Titan interior car is?
