Started my new project a month ago hoping to get close to the magic 300hp;

Since my last dyno of 257.5hp & 373.5 ft lbs at JBS I have started to collect parts for my build.

Here is a comparison 2260vk and 1749(second hand bkd for actuator rod);

Parts arrived so far;

A couple of wrong parts were ordered online being the 2260vk exhaust flange (hole spacing vkz) and braided oil supply line (mk4).

Parts to come;

  • Turbo Flange (Darkside)
  • Braided Oil Feed (Darkside)
  • Manifold Gasket (Darkside)
  • Extended 38mm Drain (Darkside)
  • #5 Snow Performance Water/Meth Nozzle
  • Turbo Gaskets
  • Oil Drain & Banjo
  • 3" 304 Stainless Exhaust Bends
  • MPPS Mapping Update
[/LIST]

Hoping to update my tune with MPPS to up my boost/fueling after is all has been pieced together. I then need to find an ideal cam timing to achieve 300hp or close to it;)

Thanks to Bizon Garage(Poland) and Darkside for supplying my parts. Great service by both.

Should be all ready weekend after next:D

I got the bug I'm afraid! You had Results, impressed with what you achieved with hard work.

Just had a tricky moment at work tonight with our stainless mig. Just swapped out the Vnt lever. Tricky positioning and welding⚡

Got the rest of the week to tap a stop screw and make an adjustable actuator bracket whilst parts arrive

Now all my parts have arrived apart from my 304 Stainless Exhaust Bends.

Spent last couple of days freeing my Actuator, De-Coking, Elongating Actuator Bracket, changing over the VNT Lever and tapping a Stop Screw.

Turbo will be mounted tomorrow afternoon

UPDATE;

Exhaust parts arrived
Manifold fitted (with difficulty)

Oil feed to turbo fitted(tricky)

Turbo reclocked a second time!

Not easy but getting there. Need to remake actuator bracket. Exhaust Bends look awkward but possible.

Hopefully turbo on by weekend, but need to take my time and be patient!

Off the road too long now

Hopefully today my project should be up and running after 6 weeks off the road!

Off to work to mount my freshly painted actuator bracket.

Got to;

Mount and set up actuator
Fit and plumb in Turbo to manifold
Work out where the wiring and vacuum lines fit
Tack in exhaust pieces and weld off car

TEST RUN

I'll keep you all posted, thanks for looking!

It's mounted and running!

Just got to plug vacuum and electronics in and fit air box/boost hose tomorrow.

Tomorrow evening I'm making my 3" downpipe and clearing vcds faults.

Fingers crossed I can drive it home after

Hi Peeps

Turbo plumbing giving me a headache!

Can't get the temp sensor in the Turbo as manifold fouls the head of the union preventing screwing.

Fitted the boost hoses, air box and modified the air box flexi to turbo (cut shorter and repositioned breather pipe from cam cover)

So turbo off again tomorrow to weld a blank sensor in.

Joy's of modifying!

UPDATE;
Turbo out and temp sensor fitted. Remounted last night and got most of the wiring and vacuums in place.

Cones have arrived to make 4" dpf dummy with 3" baffle Centre. Got to fit bosses to this for exhaust pressure lines in and out. I hope MOT man turns a blind eye!

Tonight fitting reference actuator to bulk head, vac lines to turbo, and making my 3" downpipe with lambda boss.

Who knows if I can drive home instead of getting the bloody bus

Anyone got any set up advise? Please feel free to PM base line tuning to get this to work

UPDATE;

Back on the road after a long weekend of getting this project to work. Wish I'd have bought a downpipe to fit as this was tricky to make with a guesstimate of bends (advise 10 and 20 degree segments). Spent an all day and nighter Saturday making the downpipe but got there in the end!

Sunday morning came a no start. After being towed out yesterday morning I eventually got my head round the issue. Car drove in the garage fine but was stumped on why it would not fire up. Vcds not clear on a definite proplem electrically. It suggested engine speed/crank sensor, so I gave it a good battery charge, still no result.

I then unplugged the mk6 actuator I was advised to use, and bingo

So my issue now is car runs but no boost. Timing I have set to around 2 degrees advanced to get the most out of my setup.

I now hope if I order a mk5 actuator it will be sorted. No traffic light drag race for me

Hopefully I can be sorted by early next week

Piccys to come

Thanks to duke21 for recent advise. Great community!

Mk6 actuator like on Darkside kits are BorgWarner ones which have opposite voltage readings than Garrett one you should use. Problem is also different types: Garrett pulls rod on vacuum applied, BW pushes with vacuum.

I dont understand question. Do you search for bigger nozzles? There are no bigger. Actually those from BKP PPD140 give more fuel than BMN ones.

Есть ли в продаже форсунки race1287 для PPD 170 и какая максимальная мощность у них на стандартной турбине?
