Perhaps I am just a retard, but when I pull on the floor mats to have them pop off the stud thingy they don't seem to want to come off and I don't want to break them. I want to replace the summer mats for the winter ones...

Just pull up where they are clipped down. Give it a little force, you shouldn't break it. These cars are tough.

How do you remove the male part that is attached to the rug? Just bought a used one and the pegs do not line up with the female part.

They should unscrew from the carpet.
