Re: WasteGate cleaning and maintenance
I was thinking that if the request/actual deviation only became apparent as the boost went up, it would more likely be a hose or duct failure that would only come apart as the pressure elevated some.

Re: WasteGate cleaning and maintenance
quick question, valois: what was the stuff in the air duct like? a gooey coating, oily? Did it actually have much thickness?
ps: i tried asking this question by email, but I'm not sure what your address is anymore. Is it the one in your profile?

Re: WasteGate cleaning and maintenance
Karl, it's the same email on the profile, it's strange, several have stated they are having problems, but, I am recieving emails from others. Red got the WSV replaced today and it fixed the problem, He may come Saturday and I'll take some pictures, it was what a oil drain pan would look like after being drained and left out for some dust to accumulate and get sticky. you would be able to wipe it off with a rag, but would have to use some pressure and several swipes to get it. I hope this is descriptive enough, it would certainly play hell with a small orifice and restrict a small valve body, as is evident by the problems people are experiencing. I am hoping to get Red's old N75 for a little research and we will see if it can be restored to proper operation.
