Default 2009 TDI Jetta with 6900 miles. 53.1 mpg, 2600 miles.

Just got back from Fargo. Man I just made it out in the nick of time too. Blizzard chased me all the way to Omaha. The roads were being closed behind me.

Anyhow, loving the new 09 TDI, and it's starting to really run now with some miles on it.

I drove it a bit hard on this trip as I was short on time so I couldn't drive like a geezer. But the mileage is about 4-5% better than my 06 is with the new engine / trans. My recently restored 2002 TDI Jetta std trans will do 56 mpg.

I just got an 09 SportWagen TDI also so I'll be reporting on that car soon.

You got 53.1 MPG in a 2009 Jetta over a 2600 miles trip?

Congratulations!
You have just made a certain fellow in colorado really mad. After all, if he can't do it, nobody can! LOL

If you omit pertinent info from your question, you cannot reasonably expect a good answer.//Not affiliated with any vendors except as a customer.// Wise people lurk more.// I'm not a guru.// 'I got actual real friends in the real world'-T'sTDI/ If you were the only entry, there wasn't a race.// Grammar and spelling really are important, but I don't claim to be good at it.// Typical drivers can't.

What kind of cruising speed did it take to get numbers like that?

You've got an 02, 06, 09 sedan and an 09 JSW? I'm confused!

53 mpg = pretty darn good!
