Hi guys, i'm about to place an order for a 2017 Tiguan TDI240 here in Sweden but hesitating about the different nav options.
As i understand Carplay and Auto works with the basic infotainment system but not fully supported by the active display (instument cluster), like the Discovery nav's are. Meaning i wont get the google map graphics inside my Active Display.
Is it worth the extra ~$2000 to get the Discovery Pro?
Pro comes with a larger screen, but is the resolution also bigger?
Does the Discovery Media have everything Pro does (minus the screen size)?
Or should i just skip the nav completely and use the mobile phone instead?
What is your experience from using carplay/auto? Is it sufficient?
Skipping nav would leave room in the budget for other options, like panoramic roof or area view/other assists.
