I have a 99 Golf, and it has the early style shifter. I was wondering where is the difference between the old and new style shifters? Is it on the actual transmission or just how it connects up to the shifter in the car? I was just wondering if there was a chance of me having delays because the transmission I am getting today not working with my old style shifter.
