Coolant heater

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1467941104&siteLocale=en_CAI just got another 2004 TDI , the coolant heater seems to be burnt out and trying to find a replacement, here is a link to a ad for the same heater, does anyone know were I can get one of these ??

That appears to be the factory-supplied heater the car will have come with originally...the local VW dealer will be able to get one for you.

The dealer said there is no factory coolant heaters?

Not sure where you live in Alberta... is there a second dealer you can ask? The last couple TDIs I've bought came with the "cold weather package" which as far as I know includes the Calrix heater, OEM hoses, etc. There's one on my current BEW.... looks exactly like the one in your Kijiji ad. My understanding is that they were a Canadian-only factory option... but could be wrong of course.

That said, I personally ignore 'em and go straight to the Frostheater-style.. more watts and much quicker instant heat in my experience.
