15 inch steelies with firestone rubber. The rims are an Amazon buy and was happy to see made in Switzerland not China. My wife asked where's the hubcaps? $240 to my door

I still haven't put my winter setup on and I think I'm SERIOUSLY going to miss the rough look of steelies. I always ran them on my 09 TDI but I put my snow tires on the factory 16in alloys that came on my car, so I'll look all fancy. No one will bug me about "where are the hub caps" ever again. :D:D

Nicethese are 195-65-15's also which are nice on these dirt roads. Ill be nice to my alloys and spare them the winter beating they would've taken. Now I just need a frost heater

My local pick n pull is crushing the returned tdi's with damage or high mileage. They can only take the batteries and wheels off before they go straight into the crusher. So they are selling the tires and rims cheap. I bought two sets (8 wheels) of 17"alloys for $150. Great option for winter wheels. They probably had 400 tdi rims available.
Maybe in your area too.?

Talk about a sweet deal!

I never really thought about that but may check just to share the knowledge. I kept my 17's off my dieselgate returned Jetta so that's why I'll be using my factory 16 wheel for snow tires. I'll have yet another set of aftermarket wheels going on in spring.

I ran 195-70-15 on the Mk5 jetta with out issues on steel rims, the extra bit of sidewall really made it look mean.

I'm still holding off tossing on my winter set up, 205-65-16 on my 2010 biolines, they are ready to go in the garage once the white stuff flies.

Hey BobbyWires, was that $240 to your door with tires mounted? Able to share the link?
