On the bottom edge of the exhaust manifold by cylinders 1 and 2. The lower edge of the heat shield fits in the groove.

Do I use the exhaust manifold bolts to mount it? And if so, I'm assuming the bracket bolts underneath the exhaust manifold nuts because it doesn't look like there are enough threads on those exhaust manifold studs to mount the bracket on top of the exhaust manifold nuts with another nut on top of those to hold the bracket in place.

This is how it attaches. You're looking at the end of it, so it looks thinner.

And here you can see the very end of it where it links with the upper heat shield, lower right in the picture.

Good pics. The first pic looks like that smaller heat shield bracket bolts directly onto the exhaust manifold studs underneath the exhaust manifold nuts. Thanks all for the help. I usually take pics before I take stuff apart, but guess I got in a hurry that day.
