MK4 Driver door lock cylinder housing

I must have looked at 1/2 dozen lock cylinder threads for where to find the replacement for this part, thanks fort he pic Crispy



this is what happened to one of the rings inside mine



the tabs broke off now there is nothing for the spring and post to catch so it spins.

if anyone has one or knows where to get these please help.. I can get access to a bently manual, anyone know if its in there?

ok looks like the part number for the cylinder is 107837167KM

Does anyone know if it has to be coded or uncoded? or does it not matter since i will be swapping the actual tumbler with mine..

Thanks for posting the part number. I just ordered mine.

FYI, for the future, 1stvwparts.com is where I ordered mine. They require a VIN so they can set it to fit your key. They told me that it take 7 days to 3 weeks. But it is less than a $100 bucks so I am happy.

I'm surprised they can code it from the vin, thats cool. I ended up getting a used one from another member and just took it apart and used the parts that were broken in mine, got it for $45
