CEL Yesterday

Well got the wonderful CEL yesterday. Wife took the car in and they are saying the oxygen sensor in the CAT needs replaced. Of course they don't have the part in stock to fix it. Looks like they are going to try and get to it next week sometime. I'll keep you posted on what I find out. Car has about 8,000 miles on it so far. They are going to fix a couple recalls as well.

This comes after just getting it back from the body shop after my mother in law took the side out of it by backing into it with her van!

Oh well, just nuts and bolts, at least we are healthy and happy!

I'm afraid that VWoA's parts supply scheme has been thrown a wicked curve by all the cars that were totaled in the hailstorm. There will be more delays at every step of the production process.

Too bad they didn't use the hail damaged cars for parts!

yeah...I still don't get that one...maybe they should just put them all in a pile on the edge of their storage lot and let US disassemble them...pay them for the parts...win/win...

I like that idea.

the bean counters head would explode! easier to just write them off.
