help identifying a part 2005 PD tdi

Can anybody let me know what the part is that the arrow is point to. Fuel temp sensor? If you have the part number handy, can you please provide it? along with the two hoses that connect to it?

You are correct; that is the fuel temp. sensor. There should be a part number inscribed on the part itself. A mirror and flashlight might come in handy.

The hoses can be picked up at any local parts store that has fuel hoses. Just cut to length

Yes, I believe they are 5/16" maybe 1/4 but I think 5/16 and you can use screw clamps to ensure a tight fit. You can go ahead and replace all of the lines and clamps as preventative measures
