Proof of Acquisition requirement?

I recently uploaded my documents to the portal for review. When I first opened my claim, I was requested to provide pics of the front/back of the title and my ID.

I waited a little bit before doing so and last night when I finally got around to it, I was requested to also upload my "proof of acquisition" such as a bill of sale. This was new and surprising to me.

Has anyone else encountered this and what does it relate to for the buyback?

Yes, this was added few weeks ago. It lists which documents are eligible to be uploaded for this field. I upload a bill of sale and it goes through just fine.

Yes, agree, just upload your Bill of sale document.

it is pretty easy.
The harder request is for, "Proof of Operability", if not in your possession can be alot harder to prove.

Strange, just uploaded my documents.
Only asked for 2 uploads. Govt ID, and registration. Nothing for title.
I paid off the loan a year ago, so I own it.
The portal says my documents were accepted and under review.
I’ll wait and see.
Edit: I even went back on to the portal, to double check if I didn’t upload all my documents.

are you doing buyback or fix?

Buyback

Just remembered, I had one car that I had a bank loan on, and I did not have to upload title for that one.

So I just checked my claim. It seems as though it has picked fix. Which I NEVER intended to do. Always was doing the buyback.
Guess I need to resubmit my claim.
Edit: it did ask for title pics this time!

I was asked for Proof of Acquisition and then last year's registration and eventually I found out it was because when I entered my "Estimated Purchase Date" 3 years ago, I didn't have it exact. The agent deleted everything and sent me back to Step 5. It went smoothly from there.
