Default tire switch

I have a couple 2011 q7 tdi's and was wondering if you can switch 1 wheel off of one and put it on another? or do sensors not allow you to do this.

If it's the same as the 2010, the sensors are in the ABS, there's nothing in the rim or tire - so you can swap freely if the tires are the same size.

Less accurate than the transmitters in the valves but much more convenient for wheel swapping.

The indirect sensor system? Well, I haven't yet tested it on a puncture or deliberate deflation... It occasionally triggers a warning going over a particularly rough patch of road then cancels after a minute or two..

Changed tires in July from fairly worn, cupped and very noisy tires to new ones of the same size - it flashed up a query either "New tires?" or "Snow tires?" - I forget which - and no warnings since.
