I am at work right now otherwise I would check my CPO paperwork. But is it written in stone (or on paper) somewhere?

I tried checking Vw's website, but it says the warranties are model specific and you should check your paperwork.
Mine was 2 years / 24K when I purchased it in November 2017. They changed to the unlimited miles in December 2017. I got a letter from VW in January 2018 saying mine was extended to 2 year / unlimited miles

I just purchased a 2015 TDI SEL with a sticker of over 36K with 18K miles on it, new tires, emissions repaired, for 18K. I found a few "new" 2015's but they were all above 24K. I didn't want to go above 20K and with car fax, no accidents, one owner, the car is mint. Personally, for 18K, I'm absolutely loving this Passat. I'm a first time VW owner and purposely looked for one of these because of the fuel mileage and I love diesels. I'm very impressed. Going to take the 2K I saved (20K I allocated vs 18K I paid) and get the Rawtek full exhaust and Malone 2.

What warranty of 162K miles are you talking about ??? Mine showed 3 years / 36K miles and that runs out this month. Only long-term warranty I saw was for "rust". Please let me know. Depending upon the warranty you speak of, I would consider waiting. But unless it's motor related, which I'm assuming it's not, I'm going to delete the stock exhaust.

Hey, new guy!

The warranty is given after implementation of "the fix". Check out the Dieselgate sub forum here.

While the warranty is power train (minus DSG), soon as you get a DPF delete, 90% of your head aches are gone for warranty concerns.

Only big one would be HPFP, but invest in a CP3 and you'd be golden.

HPFP is also covered under the "fix" warranty.

Stealership are known to hide from actual facts. Guys here who replied today said it all. I am not touching my 2015 Passat until warranty is done.

sure thats why i said if you have a DPF delete, buy a CP3 an then you'd have no major big ticket warranty claims looming over you head.

Trouble free for miles and miles.

From what I understand, 2015 MY TDI’s gets a tad bigger and better turbo..... (correct me if I am wrong) it should be ok with CP3 and stage 2 tune..... my old JSW with original turbo ran flawlessly until 282k miles, DSG took its own last breath 2 weeks ago so I ended up getting an 2015 Passat TDI. I sorely miss the old TDI, she will be gone on July 10th for buyback.

Volkswagen will be selling those cars overseas.

This is a new 2015 Passat TDI SE with no mileage and full warranty

It has already had the emissions modification done. They changed all the fluids, replaced the brakes and the tires. They also put a new battery in it.

The sticker price on the vehicle is over $32,000

I sincerely doubt they’re going to sell the car for $18,000
You’re talking about buying a car that will be FOUR MODEL YEARS OLD in a few months for only 25% off sticker? No wonder dealers make money.....
