Another bonus for 2015 CPO's

So this really is a gift that keeps giving. Just got a letter in the mail today, that for my 2015 Passat TDI SEL that I bought as a CPO this past August, that the two year / 24,000 mile warranty, is now 2 years, and unlimited mileage! This is great news for me as I have put about 11000 miles on the car already. Not sure what prompted this, but I hope it is not from fix related issues. Mine has been great so far, I updated from a 2012 Passat TDI SEL that got bought back for more than the deal I got on my 2015. The letter clearly states that it only pertains to CPO TDI's and not gasoline engines.

I got mine in the mail as well! Got my TDI in November 2017. The original new 3 year vehicle warranty expires literally today as well so this is good news, since I will easily drive it more than 24k miles in the 24 months of the CPO warranty.

Actually, I shouldn't have put 2015 CPO in the post title, because the letter just says CPO. I put 2015 in the title because that is the year of mine, but hopefully it applies to everyone that has a buyback CPO TDI with phase one completed.

I guess this is the equivalent of the "bridge warranty" for the 3.0L Gen 2 fixes.
